PACT 2007 Conference Hotel and Airport Transportation Reservations

Reservations for the PACT 2007 conference hotel and for transportation between the Henry Coanda/Otopeni international airport (airport code OTP) in Bucharest and the conference hotel, the ARO Palace Hotel, should be made using the following on-line reservation system. Please contact pact07@cs.tamu.edu with any questions.

Conference Hotel - ARO Palace Hotel. The PACT 2007 conference hotel is the ARO Palace Hotel, which is a five star hotel in the historical center of Brasov. The conference technical sessions will be held September 17-19 at the hotel. The workshops and tutorials proceeding the conference on September 15 and 16 will be held at the hotel and at the nearby University Transilvania of Brasov.

A block of hotel rooms has been reserved for PACT 2007 conference attendees at the ARO Palace Hotel. The PACT 2007 room rates shown below include breakfast and are valid September 10-25, 2007. All guestrooms have internet access, multi-line phones (with complimentary 1-800 calls), coffee makers, hairdryers, laundry service, and complimentary daily newspaper. Hotel reservations should be made through the PACT 2007 Hotel and Airport Transportation Reservations Site (link above). The reservation cut-off date has been extended to September 1, 2007 at 4:00pm CDT (12 midnight in Romania). After the cut-off date, the negotiated rate cannot be guaranteed and participants must make reservations directly with the ARO Palace Hotel.

Airport Transportation. PACT 2007 will arrange shuttle service between the (Henry Coanda/Otopeni international airport (airport code OTP) ) in Bucharest and the conference hotel in Brasov. The one-way cost is $45 per person. The service will be available from OTP/Bucharest to Brasov on Friday, Sept. 14, Saturday Sept. 15, and Sunday, Sept. 16, and from Brasov to OTP/Bucharest on Wednesday, Sept. 19 and Thursday, Sept. 20 - please check with us at pact07@cs.tamu.edu if you have different travel dates. Airport transportation reservations should be made through the PACT 2007 Hotel and Airport Transportation Reservations Site (link above). The deadline for airport transportation reservations is September 4, 2007.

We will schedule transportation around your flight arrival and departure times, which you provide when making the reservations. When you exit the flight arrival area at the OTP airport, you should look for someone holding a "PACT 2007" sign and go to them - they will take care of you from there. If your flight details change, then you should notify us immediately at pact07@cs.tamu.edu. We will email all reserved shuttle passengers with an emergency contact phone number for you to call if you arrive at OTP and do not find the driver.
