PACT 2007 Travel Grant Information

Support from the NSF, Google, IBM Research, Intel, and Microsoft will enable us to provide student travel grants for PACT 2007. The NSF funds will enable us to provide travel grants for students studying at institutions in the US (including international students studying in the US) or for US citizens or permanent residents studying abroad. The industrial sponsorship funds are not restricted. The exact number and amount of the awards will be determined based on the number of eligible applicants and the availability of funds.

We encourage all students to apply for travel grants using the on-line application below. In the application, students are asked to provide:

  • a curriculum vitae (CV),
  • a 500 word statement that includes (i) an explanation of why it is important for them to attend PACT, (ii) a budget regarding their cost of atttendance at PACT, and (iii) a description of any other sources of support they may have,
  • the name and email address of their advisor or another faculty member that can provide a recommendation (the reference will receive an email with the url of a webpage they can visit to provide a recommendation).

The deadline for applications is August 13, 2007 - all materials, including the advisor/faculty recommendation, should be received by this date. Applicants will be notified of award status by August 20, 2007.
