The latest, if not newest, horse in the stable -- a '91 Suzuki GS500E.
Although I successfully masked the faded "POLICE" with the "TEXAS A&M" sticker to make it less official looking, I'm afraid I went too far with the university seal on the gas tank. In all, there's about $75 worth of University sanctioned (royalty earning) stickers on it so I don't worry about it too much since I figure they got their cut.
The outer headlamps here were red pursuit lamps when I bought it. They were, of course, disconnected since red lights on the front aren't for us common folk. I replaced them with the clear lamps here and hooked up a relay on the pursuit light switch to power them. I can't legally run them at night (like brights), but they're great for being seen in the daytime (I hope) and really light up empty country roads at night.
Shot up the rear. Unfortunately, you can barely make out the metallic aTm logos on the back of the beer carriers in this picture.
Beer carrier #3 (#1 is the basket on top, #2's on the other side). The police sticker is actually the Kawasaki model sticker. I thought about covering it up, but, why hide what it is?
A place it doesn't get to visit near as frequently as it should.

My thanks to Uncle Paul for his insights on owning a KZ1000P (that's him in front of the donut).
Here's the old bike... it doesn't look so well these days...
The more observant of y'all will realize that this is not actually a motorcycle.
But, I don't have a car page, and it does have a couple of the bikes from
above in the background. I've come to the point, after riding for some 15 years, that I want a _cage_ when I decide to cage it. This '87 Peugeot 505 STI seems to be built as solid as my '69 Volvo 142S. Italian body with a French/Swedish engine... I'm happy. I might actually stand a chance of surviving in this thing should some freshman bubba in a Dodge Ram pick-em-up (more than likely bought by daddy) decide to go through me one his way home from the Dixie Chicken (it's been known to happen each Fall in this town). |
