Lab Access Instructions for CS Students
If you're a graduate or undergraduate student working on a robotics project, follow these steps to gain access to the Siebel Center Shared Robotics Lab:
Step 1: Review the General and Safety Guidelines
- Carefully read the Siebel Center Shared Robotics Lab General Guidelines and the Safety Rules before requesting access.
Step 2: Complete Safety Training
- Review the UIUC Division of Research Safety (DRS) policy tutorials and complete the Laboratory Safety Training.
- Save your certificate(s) as PDF or screenshot.
Step 3: Submit the Lab Access Form
- Fill out the online access request form using your NetID.
- In the form, attach your DRS safety training certificate (PDF) and include a brief description of your intended lab usage or project.
- If you don’t receive a response within a week, please send an email to the Lab Manager , including your name, NetID, and a short description of your intended lab usage or project.
Step 4: Card Access Activation
- After your information is reviewed and approved, the Lab Manager will initiate your i‑Card building access.
